Stroke survivor, Dipika Aggarwal, shares her story of survival and recovery

Neurologist Dipika Aggarwal was enjoying some breakfast at a restaurant when she began having a bad headache.

After having texted her colleague and fellow neurologist outside in her car about her symptoms, Dipika’s friend drove to the restaurant after calling to check on her as she realized something was severely wrong.
Dipika was demonstrating classic stroke symptoms and had to have emergency surgery to save her life.
Her road to recovery was taxing not only physically, but mentally. Today, Dipika says she is “thriving” and encourages other survivors to seek mental health treatment.
